Flying is the fastest and most comfortable way to reach San Blas — ideal for guests with limited time or those who prefer not to take the mountain road. The main downside is cost: flights are significantly more expensive than the 4×4 transfer.

Air Panama enforces a strict 12 kg total luggage limit (carry-on + checked combined). Overweight bags may not be allowed on board. Pack light. One small soft bag per person.
San Blas flights are operated on small propeller aircraft with limited capacity. During high season (Dec–Mar) they sell out quickly. Book 4–6 weeks ahead minimum.
Small aircraft cannot fly in certain weather conditions. Cancellations are possible, especially in rainy season. Always have a backup plan (land transfer) and don't book a connecting international flight on the same day.
